We are excited to be traveling to the Dominican Republic for the first time! We will be staying at Hyatt Zilara (Adult's Only) Resort

This resort is connected to another resort that does have families present. You are able to go onto that side of the resort and use their pools, restaurants, water park, and facilities, but they are not able to come on to the adults side. 

The resort has so much to offer and everything is in one place! Like past years, we always recommend staying at the resort for the duration of your trip. We are in a gated community and will have security onsite 24/7.

  • Everyone needs a valid passport to travel to the Dominican Republic and your passport must be valid for 6 months after our event ends (October 2023).

  • Bullhorn does not cover passport fees. 

The Dominican Republic currently has no vaccination or testing requirements as of February 2023. We will keep everyone up to date via email and slack on any changes before traveling. 

If you are traveling from North America, there are currently no travel restrictions. 

If you are traveling from outside North America and your flight has a layover in the United States en route to the Dominican Republic, the following policy applies:

  • All non-U.S. citizens, non-U.S. immigrants traveling to the United States by air are required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Only limited exceptions apply. Learn more about this requirement and accepted vaccines. Direct link here
  • To confirm, the above COVID-19 vaccination requirements are mandated by the U.S. government and are not a Bullhorn policy. If you do not meet these requirements, attempt to travel and are refused entry, you will need to repay the cost of your flights and accommodation to Bullhorn.

  • This Electronic Ticket is a digital form required by multiple institutions for entering or leaving the national territory.
  • You will be required to fill out this FORM before boarding your flight to the DR and when you depart the country. 
  • For reference:
    The Embarkation Point: airport you are coming from to get to Punta Cana. *If you have a layover, choose the layover direct to PUJ and put the correct corresponding flight number from your connecting flight.*
    The Disembarkation Port: airport you are arriving to (PUJ). 

Yes!

  • Flights: Bullhorn covers your flight from your home location to one destination and vice versa. Bullhorn does not cover travel in between countries if you make multiple stops for additional trips. 

 

  • Hotel: If you extend your hotel stay at the Hyatt, we make no guarantees as it is based on the hotel availability, please note this in your registration. The nightly rate is $750 + taxes.

 

  • You are welcome to book your own hotel in the DR before and / or after and come to the Hyatt on your day of coverage, Bullhorn does not cover your travel to and from these locations.  
  • ARRIVALS: Once you land in the DR, disembarking the aircraft, will be directed to either Terminal A or B depending on your airline. The procedures in both terminals will be the same. Once you clear customs please proceed to make your way outside. 

 

  • Once outside, you will see uniformed AMSTAR staff wearing blue flowery shirts with a sign that says Bullhorn. Amstar will shuttle you from the airport to Hyatt Zilara (15 minutes). They will also shuttle you back to the airport when you depart Achievers. 

 

  • Your flight information has already been shared with AMSTAR - there is nothing for you to do! 

 

  • DEPARTURES: Meet back at the Convention Center lobby three hours prior to your flight. 

 

  • If you arrive early and are coming from another resort, you are responsible to get your own transportation and these costs are not covered or reimbursable by Bullhorn.

  • On arrival at the Hyatt you will be greeted by the bellmen and escorted to a private check-in location in for Bullhorn only. 
  • Front desk agents will be present to take credit card imprints from all attendees to guarantee incidental charges.
  • It’s recommended that you do not provide a debit card for this, as there will be an authorization hold placed on the card that could freeze your funds during your stay.
  • After check-in, you will be escorted to your accommodations.

  • Your phone will work if you have roaming turned on. 
  • However, any international charges will not be covered by Bullhorn, so we recommend keeping your phone connected to Wi-Fi instead of using cellular data.
  • WI-FI is available at the resort and included in our package.
  • The time zone in Dominican Republic (GMT-4) is Atlantic Standard Time. 
  • If you feel sick, there is a doctor available 24 hours a day. They are located in the La Romana meeting room in Hyatt Ziva main building. In case of emergency dial 0 and the operator will transfer your all directly to the doctor. 
  • All additional costs due to any potential quarantine or illness will be covered by Bullhorn and / or are reimbursable.
  • If you test positive for COVID-19 after Achievers, please notify those who you were in close contact with.

 

  • Please remember that you represent Bullhorn at all times. We ask that you are responsible during all activities and with beverage consumption at all events.

Yes we have travel insurance for all attendees.

  • Uber, Lyft, Taxi from your home to the airport 
  • Parking at the airport
